Airoli Bengali Association is a charitable organization registered with the Office of Asstt. Charity Commissioner, Thane, Regn. No. F/6346/Thane.

Given below few of the activities being done by the Association :

Celebration of Netaji’s birthday on 23rd January
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was one of the greatest sons of Mother India. Airoli Bengali Association celebrates this great leader’s birth day on 23rdJanuary with due respect and honour.

Celebration of Republic Day Function on 26th January
Airoli Bengali Association takes pride in celebrating Republic Day on 26th January every year. Ladies and gents sing patriotic songs. Children enact drama on the freedom struggle. They dress like the great souls who had laid down their lives for the cause of freedom of our Motherland. Important dignitaries address the gathering.

Annual Sports
In order to encourage the young people to take part in sports & games and to spread the message of universal brotherhood, Annual Sport is organized every year. Our young Members participate with great enthusiasm. Senior citizens also participate in Sports. The winners get attractive prizes from the Association.

Picnic
Picnic is one of the great attractions of our Members. Generally we arrange one day outdoor picnic every year in the month of January. We enjoy a fun filled whole day with sumptuous menu and lots of funny games.

Celebration of ABA’s Maa Durga Temple Foundation day
ABA is blessed to have Maa Durga Mandir in it’s own plot at Sector-8A in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. This Mandir was inaugurated on the first day ie Shasthi of Basanti Puja. Every year this day is celebrated with full of devotion.

Celebration of Shivaratri
Shivaratri is celebrated at our Maa Durga Mandir every year. People worship Lord Shiva and offer prayers with holy water, flowers, fruits etc. Devotees in huge nos. throng to our Temple.

Bengali New years day, Poila Boishakh, celebration
Poila Boishakh is celebrated every year with huge enthusiasm & spirit. Religious rituals are performed in the morning hours followed by cultural programmes in the evening. Grand dinner is served after the cultural programme is over.

One day Football Tournament
We organize One day Football Tournament among the various teams formed with the Members of ABA. We also organize Inter Association Football Tournament among the various Trusts in Navi Mumbai & Mumbai. Attractive trophies are given.

Annual General Body Meeting
AGM is organized every year to discuss and approve accounts of last year, activities of past year, plan for activities of new year, changes of rules, if any, address suggestions , if any. Members are encouraged to come forward and express their opinions to improve the functioning of the Association.

Celebration of Independence Day on 15th August
15th August is a Red Letter day in the history of India. Airoli Bengali Association salutes the day with great respect and honour. Hoisting of National Flag is done with great respect. Ladies & gents sing National Anthem followed by many patriotic songs. Sweets are distributed at the end.

Durga Puja
Celebration of Durga Puja is the most major & colourful activity of ABA. Puja is arranged at a huge ground with decorative and attractive pandal, beautiful idols, various stalls, stage for cultural programmes, attractions for the children and so on. Celebration starts from Tritia with various cultural programmes & activities on all days till Vijaya Dashami. Programmes by our Members and by renowned artists are arranged. Public Bhog is served on all the 4 days from Saptami . After Visharjan, grand dinner is arranged.

Lakshmi Puja
After Durg Puja, Lakshmi puja is arranged in the same pandal of Durga Puja. Members offer paryers to Devi with full of respect & devotion. Public Bhog is served after the puja.

Kali Puja
Kali Puja & Deepavali Utsav are celebrated by ABA with festive spirit & devotion. Public Bhog is served after the puja.

Saraswati Puja
Saraswati Puja is arranged and celebrated by ABA with full of enthusiasm and devotion.

Other activities
Career counselling for students
This is a unique step taken by Airoli Bengali Association. Such type of programme does not take place in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. The students from class IX to XII get lot of informations from the Faculty about the new opportunities available in the market. They also get knowledge about the current and future promising career options. Renowned faculties participate in this programme.

Sit & Draw competition
In order to encourage the young artists & painters, free Sit and Draw competition is Organized every year . Many young boys & girls take part in it. A group of qualified judges decide the winners of the competition.

Donation of books, school bags, tiffin box etc.
As a part of social responsibilities, ABA helps the needy and meritorious students of the area. Books, school bags, tiffin boxes, drawing sets & other study related materials are given to the poor students of local Municipality school.

Free Eye Check camp
Free eye check up camps are organized to help the poor people who are suffering from eye problems.

Free B.P. Check up
In order to help the local elders, B.P. is checked by the volunteers of the Association at free of any cost.

Blood donation
Members of ABA donate blood regularly to help the patients admitted in various hospitals.

Donation of relief materials
In order to help the distressed people during natural calamities like flood, draught etc. ABA donates relief materials like food grains, clothes, medicines etc.

Teaching regional languages
ABA has opened a charitable school, Vidyabharati, to help the young children to learn Bengali, Marathi.
